Piraeus is the main port of Athens and the most important in Greece. Athens, the capital of Greece, is located just over 30 minutes from the port. Its Acropolis and the Parthenon are the main attractions of the city. Several cruises start or end in Athens. If you can add a day or two to Athens, you’ll have plenty of time to appreciate all its attractions.

The cruise port of Athens is located 12 km away in the city of Piraeus. The journey between Piraeus and Athens is about 30 minutes. There are three main cruise terminals (A, B, C). A shuttle bus provided by the port connects the various terminals and the entrance to the port.

Transport between Athens Airport and the Port of Piraeus
Taxis are available at the airport. The journey to the port of Piraeus will take about 40 minutes. To reach the center of the city, a fixed rate is applied.
It is possible to reach the port either bybus (route X96) or bymetro (line 3 of the airport with a transfer on line 1 at Monastiraki station. The journey is about 90 minutes.
Private transport is also available.
