Has somebody news about the V3 of the UFO?

Do you think next one will be much better or starts to be in a point which is difficult to creat a better performance low wind LEI kite?

Slow down, I just picked up a V2 and we are already talking obsolete, lol. My guess is they introduce some sort of Allula leading edge to shave another 1/2 pound. Slingshot UFO V3 - Kiteforum.com (1)

My only wish for v3 is to add 10m size to the line. I’m still on v1/v1.1 and adding 4m in v2 was a good move.
Other than that I’m a happy foiler with UFO

Considering that it took two years to go from v1 to v2, I would guess it will be another year.

There were pictures of the ufo with aluula, rumor has it that it didn’t feel like a ufo.

The v2 at least in the smaller sizes I ride, seems to have addressed my issues with the v1.

G'day, I am on V1.1 UFOs, 7m and 5m, ride choppy ocean on a range of foils, 990cm2 to 770cm2 (Moses 679, 695), I am 95kg kitted up. I am looking for a size smaller than the 5m as I find it gets too much once it hits 20/22+ knots (this is a guess, did not measure). How big is the step down to the 4m V2 (25% less? ) - or would it be better to eye off the 3m? Or a single strut 4m? Those can be found cheaper maybe second hand? What do you guys use?

I feel the gap from 5 to 3 is too much and a 4 works well.

I have a 4m ghost single strut which is a really solid kite. In fact if you make me an offer I’ll sell it to you.

The v2 4m has similar performance but lighter, a tad faster, and better slack line float.

Given your wind range use, a 4m ghost might be a good fit, as it ultimately might have a higher top end, and the difference in weight won’t be such a big deal.

Just getting back onto the forum. Grigori nailed it. The 2.x are almost perfect. I’ve had 1.0/1.1 and now all 2.0’s - they are just peachy and the 4m is king of the hill - never say unbeatable, but for kitefoil I have to say, pretty dam good!

Same weight and comparable gear. 3m is a bit small for my liking. I prefer 4m SST for 25-35 knots. 4m UFO certainly is a great choice too, yet it produces more power than the SST

Has anyone else noticed that on the Slingshot UFO page, you can now select orange as a color? It's the same color, orange and black. But the fact that they changed the page to add a color selection hints at changes coming.

I think they just freshened up the web site.

Bit a new color wouldn’t be surprising

There are two different leading edge colors right now
