Tyler J. DeMuynck, 34, of Springfield, IL (originally of Kewanee) died on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Tyler was born on November 14, 1989, to Lorie Byers (Tibbs) and Tony DeMuynck. Tyler was born and raised in Kewanee and attended Kewanee schools. Tyler received his GED in 2006. He had been living in Springfield, and thriving, since early 2023 and recently celebrated his one year anniversary working in the warehouse at Frito-Lay in Springfield.

Tyler loved life and embraced life. Tyler enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his two nieces Macie and Olivia. Tyler had many friends and loved spending time with them too. He especially enjoyed playing PlayStation with his friends and family alike.You didn't have to spend more than five minutes with Tyler to see his big heart and generous soul. Tyler was one of the most positive people and always had a smile on his face. He was the best listener and gave great advice, freeof any judgment. He would help anyone in need. Tyler was in his element if he was helping someone. He touched many lives and will be greatly missed.

Tyler is survived by his mother, Lorie (John) Tibbs of Springfield; his father, Tony (Tracy) DeMuynck of Elmira; sister, Tabitha (Randy) Brown of Bradford; brother, Josh (Angie) Cameron of Toulon; step-sisters, Jessica, Ashley and Beth Harper; nieces, Macie and Olivia Brown; and many other aunts, uncles and cousins.

Cremation was provided by Vancil-Murphy Cremation Services in Springfield.

A visitation is scheduled for Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Golnick-Schueneman Funeral Home,219 E. 2nd Street, Kewaneefrom 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for the same day at First United Methodist Church,108 E. Central Blvd., Kewaneefrom 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm.Friends of the family are invited to both and encouraged to come have a meal and share your favorite memories of Tyler.
